Guests who stay for 8 nights or longer receive a complete change of linen including pool towels, the bathroom is cleaned, and the apartment is vacuumed and mopped.
There are three floors – Ground, First and Second floor. We do not have an elevator or porter service so please advise us if you would prefer a lower level apartment and we will do our best.
No, we cater only to those over 18 years of age. Drop the kids off with an unsuspecting relative and come on up for some well deserved peace and quite.
Check-in time is from 2pm. However if you intend to arrive earlier, please contact us ahead of schedule to arrange this as we may be able to have your apartment ready earlier than 2pm.
If we know your arrival time we make every effort to check you into the apartment as soon as it is ready. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee an early check in. You are more than welcome to use the pool until your room is ready or we will look after your luggage until your room is ready if you would like to explore Port Douglas.
Check out is by 10:00am, if you have a late flight you are welcome to hold onto your pool towels and relax by the pool or we will look after your luggage until your transfer to the airport arrives.

The Port Douglas Marina is 750 metres from our front door, less than a ten minute walk away. Alternatively a couple of minutes drive and you are there with loads of free parking. Markets are held here every Wednesday from 12-6 pm and you'll also find plenty of dining options overlooking the inlet.
Cape Tribulation is about approximately a one hour and 45 minute drive. It's 45 minutes to the Daintree River Ferry and once on the other side you'll be on a winding, paved road through the rainforest.
Mossman Gorge is a 20 minute drive north of Port Douglas. Once you enter Mossman you will see a big sign on your left for Mossman Gorge, it is only a couple of minute drive up this road to the visitors centre.
Anytime - Summer months are called the Green Season with the tropical rains where everything is lush, Winter months are a good time to get away from the cold of southern states with warm sun filled days in Port Douglas.
The Tropical North Queensland temperatures are very dependable. During the cooler winter months of July and August the average high is 25°C (77°F) with an average low of 17°C (62°F) overnight. In the hotter summer months of December, January and February the average high is 31°C (87°F) dropping to 24°C (75°F) overnight.
Port Douglas Apartments are100 metres from 4 Mile Beach. We are on the corner of Macrossan and Davidson streets. It can be a bit confusing as our reception entrance is off Davidson Street, however our parking is accessed off Macrossan Street. Macrossan Street is the main street in Port Douglas with restaurants, cafes, bottle shops, grocery stores, post office, banks and shops. licensed and BYO restaurants and café’s within a 2 minute walk from us.
The beach is 100 meters away. The swimming area patrolled by the Surf Lifesavers is very close, they are there 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
Coles Supermarket on Macrossan Street is a 7-10 minute walk from Port Douglas Apartments while the Night Owl Convenience store on Macrossan Street is just across the street. There is also an IGA at Captain Cook Highway, Port Douglas distance 5.1 km.
Yes they do. With the exception of fishing trips, all of the tour companies which offer pick-ups do pick up and drop off from right outside our door. Most are free but a few reef tour companies do charge a small fee, to avoid this it is just a short walk or drive to the Reef Marina.
If you have several days with us we recommend you book your tours once you are here, that way we are able to look at the weather forecast for the best day if you are going to visit the amazing Great Barrier Reef. The other trips and tours are less weather dependent. There are a huge selection of tours available to book so please ask us for advice, we have done almost all the tours ourselves and we are able to recommend the ones that best suit your requirements and expectations. If you have only a day or two and would like a specific tour we would suggest booking it in advance to avoid disappointment as some tours do book out during the busy season. Our tour booking service is complimentary and hassle free. We can put the tour charge on your room account or you can when you book, whichever you prefer. We are kept up to date with all the specials that tour companies are offering so can also offer you the best deal going.
There are plenty of options for transport to take you to and from Cairns CBD or Cairns Airport. We can arrange the transport that suits your needs, just let us know what you're looking to do.
We are within walking distance of the supermarket, shops, restaurants, Reef Marina and Four Mile beach, a car is not essential – many guests rent a bike or hire a car for a few days while in Port Douglas. If you would like to visit Atherton and the Tablelands, or do a self drive trip to the Daintree Rainforest during your stay, then a car is great.
We are very happy to organize your arrival and departure transfers. We can arrange to have you picked up and dropped off at Cairns airport, and we can also arrange transfers from the train station, The Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns or another hotel in Cairns.
